MGBA - Show point Allocation for Classes.

***** SHOW POINTS: MGBA Australian Champion show points are collected under strict MGBA show rules and heights. These points are awarded by the MGBA and collected exclusively to be used only in conjunction with the MGBA show point system. MGBA Australian Champion Points are not transferable to other groups and Associations unless written agreement is obtained.


MBGA POINT SYSTEM (FROM 1st January 2014)
(inclusion of points for best in show for animal and progeny points)

100 Points required for Australian Champion title. There is no time limit on obtaining points.

Only AMGR/MGBAA Registered animals, 3yrs and over may apply for Australian Champion status with points collected from approved MGBAA shows.
An animal must accrue a minimum of 100 points. A total of 20 points may be gained at any one show (including progeny points) and the 100 points must be gained under at least 3 different Judges.
Show points will only be considered when obtained in breed Classes, a maximum of 50 points from Junior Classes (under 3 yrs) may be accrued, the balance being obtained as an adult.
Animals may also obtain up to a total of 20 points from progeny throughout the goats show career.

Champion Miniature-bred Doe kid: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other doe under 12 months old
Champion Miniature-bred Buck kid: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other buck under 12 month old
Champion Miniature-bred Wether kid: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other wether under 12 month old
Champion Miniature-bred Doe: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other doe 12 months to 36 months
Champion Mini bred buck: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other buck 12 months to 36 months
Champion Mini bred wether: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other wether 12 months to 36 months
Champion Doe: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other doe over 3yrs of age
Champion Buck: 5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other buck over 3yrs of age
Champion Wether:
5 points plus 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other wether over 3yrs of age
Supreme Champion:
5 points plus, 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every opposite of sex at show (adults only).
Champion Challenge: 5 points plus, 1 point for your animal and then 1 point for every other animal in the class.

Best In Show:
5 points plus, 1 point for every other animal in the Best In Show line up.

PROGENY POINTS - animals may also obtain up to a total of 20 points from progeny throughout the goats show career.
3 points for the sire and dam of progeny that are awarded Champion (of sex),
5 points for the sire and dam of progeny that are awarded Supreme (of all breeds)
7 points for the sire and dam of progeny that are awarded Best In Show (of all breeds show).
10 points for the sire and dam of progeny that are titled Australian Champion

Maximum of 20 points can be accumulated at one show including progeny points.

Championship points can only be collected from 12 months of age

Champion miniature-bred: 5 points plus 1 point for every animal over 12mths of age.
Champion Doe: 5 points plus 1 point for every doe over 3yrs of age(adult section).
Champion Buck: 5 points plus 1 point for every buck over 3yrs of age (adult section)
Grand Champion (of Breed): 5 points plus 1 point for every opposite sex animal (adults only)
Supreme Champion: 5 points plus, 1 point for every opposite of sex at show (adults only).

PROGENY POINTS
