How you can help.

If you would like to help with the growth and future of the Australian Miniature Goat Breed there are a few things you might like to do.

Donate time (members only)
If you are a current financial member of the MGBA you are eligible to stand for a committee position. Jobs are nominated for at each Annual General Meeting held at the end of each year. Please contact the Secretary for date.

If you prefer to be involved in other areas the MGBA can advise what help is needed and in what areas. Promotions, photos, editing are just a few and Show managers can always do with some help with state shows.

Donate money/prizes to state shows

The MGBAA uses state breed shows for marketing of our breed. They have played an important part of getting our Minis out there for the public to see which in turn creates a word of mouth grapevine around Australia. This is a direct way for you to get enquiries if you are a breeder and therefore make sales. If you can not host a goat show of your own in your state or do not want to attend a goat show or even if you are unable to support the MGBA shows in your state due to distance or time, monetary donations are always welcome. These go towards Trophies, Ribbons, Judges gifts and prizes on the day. Your stud name will be listed in the donations area of the show results.

If you are a member of the public you can donate and your name will be listed on the show results for the show you donated to.

Prizes can also be donated for each Championship class. These are appreciated by competitors as a lot of time and money goes into getting goats to the show to support the breed. Lick blocks, grain, collars, leads are all good examples of prize donations.

Contribute to Newsletters (members only)
The MGBAA has a newsletter editor who is always looking for great articles and photos for our newsletter. Please make contact if you can help out.

The MGBAA appreciates all volunteers and as the saying goes... "many hands makes light work"
