The MGBAA would like to thank Basil and Elain Rogers (Dairy Goat Judges/Breeders) for their wonderful support to the Miniature Goat Breeders Association of Australia assisting with the initial training of Australia’s first miniature goat judges. Basil and Elain's wealth of knowledge, professionalism and willingness to work with our initial beginner judges (2009) has allowed the MGBAA to set legitimate foundations for the ongoing development of the associations own judge training program. The current MGBAA President and Secretary at the time awarded Basil and Elaine an appreciation plaque for their help and assistance on the 28th July 2013 during the Mt Gravatt Show.
Andrew Ludwig loving husband of Sue Ludwig, (founder of the breed) played a large part in the history and set up of the Australian Miniature Goat breed. He went beyond the normal husband duties assisting as a breed advisor, supporting and assisting as an animal registration advisor with extensive knowledge in cattle production, pedigrees, registrations and exhibiting and sounding board for all things required for the creation and development of the miniature goat as it was founded. We as a community lost Andrew in 2009 after he was tragically killed in a car accident.
We would like to pay tribute to Mal Atkinson husband to Karyn Atkinson who
passed away in February 2009. Mal played a large part
in the set up of the MGBA Association and was a member of our
committee and Mini Goat community.
We would like to thank Toni Ryan from MEIE TALUND Stud who was a founding breeder of the Australian Miniature Goat. Toni passed away in 2012 and will be missed in the Mini Goat Community.
